Here is a good basic list of things a guitarist needs and needs to practice. I will address each one of these in a little more detail in subsequent posts. Happy successful practicing.



How to hold the guitar (classical position is best)

Reading Music (you will develop a musical mind)

Theory (basic songwriting theory)

Technique:

Pick or fingers

Songs and Instrumentals

Tools:

Metronome!!! Make it your friend

Play along with songs (as sone as you can)

Reading material (method, real book)

Tab material (but with standard notation for the rhythm)

Chair Flat (perfectly) no arm 

Foot stool

Music stand

Reading lamp

Nail clippers (short left hand) +
